Louisiana’s New Orleans Several hip-hop artists, including Snoop Dogg, SZA, and Jay Rock, have responded to Kendrick Lamar’s historic Super Bowl halftime performance.
In a thrilling 15-minute performance on Sunday night (February 9), Kendrick, the first solo rapper to headline the big game, proved beyond a reasonable question that he is the greatest rapper alive.

Snoop, who upset K.Dot during his feud with Drake the previous year by seeming to back the 6 God, recorded himself at home while he watched the concert.

Throughout, Tha Doggfather provided uplifting commentary, making it clear that he was rooting for his fellow Californian, saying: “You hear me? The West Coast is the shit. Dot, get them. Nephew, get them.

Snoop, who was obviously enjoying the show, also rapped along to “HUMBLE.”

SZA, who sang duets of “All the Stars” and “Luther” with Kendrick, thanked her former TDE labelmate for allowing her to participate in the performance.

“You have prophetic abilities. However, you were aware of that. Today, I was not anxious. I was prepared to represent you. for the United States. We are grateful for this opportunity, #SUPERBOWL2025 wrapped, thanks to God, Dot, and the NFL.

“K DOT [ok hand emojis[ [fire emojis] killed it!!!!” was another comment made on X (previously Twitter) by Kendrick’s longtime friend and collaborator Jay Rock. whereas Doechii, another TDE star, added: “Kendrick and SZA, congratulations! I am extremely inspired and proud of you all.

Terrence “Punch” Henderson, the head of TDE and longtime manager of SZA, tweeted: “Excellent evening. Watching Dot reach the largest stage made me really proud. Then it was crucial to get SZA out. One more moment. historic,” before announcing that, in his opinion, Kendrick Lamar is now his all-time favorite rapper, surpassing even JAY-Z, 2Pac, and Biggie.

Another admirer of the act was Jermaine Dupri, who appeared as a guest during Usher’s Super Bowl halftime show last year. He wrote on X: “Dope performance, no back track, breath control, choreography, skits, straight rap shit.”

Killer Mike, another native of Atlanta, praised the performance’s purity as well, stating: “And That Was That ‘RAP SHIT.'” Whoa, that is amazing.

Chris Brown sent a simple message on his Instagram Stories, accompanied by a fire emoji, saying, “WOW!!!!!!!!!!! DOT.”

Rapsody, who collaborated with Kendrick on “Complexion (A Zulu Love),” was equally effusive in his appreciation, stating: “Kendrick. Outstanding.

 

 

 

 

Flavor Flav, a legend of the Public Enemy, especially liked how the entire Caesars Superdome joined Lamar in criticizing his bitter rival Drake during his performance of “Not Like Us”: “The way the entire stadium screamed, ‘A MINOOOOOOOOOORRRRR.'”

NFL veteran Deion Sanders, Magic Johnson, and Ben Stiller are among the non-hip-hop celebrities that praised Kendrick’s Super Bowl halftime performance.
